We had so much fun at Our Tamales and Champurrado Workshop and Dinner! Below is cooking instructions for your tamales.

INSTRUSTIONS

1. Place the tamales standing vertically in a steamer pot with 2 inches of water at the bottom of the pot

2. Bring the water to a simmer slowly, as to not cause over evaporation

3. Once you have a soft simmer, cover the pot with an airtight lid, or aluminum foil. Cook for 45 minutes-1.5 hours 

4. Check your tamales around the 50-minute mark, if the masa has risen and hardened, and the leaves pull easily from tamale.Your tamales are done.

5. Enjoy!

RECIPE

2lb - Masa

8oz - Butter 

1 can - Dulce de Leche

2 tbsp - Cinnamon

1 tbsp - Allspice

1 tbsp - Cloves 

1 cup - Veg Oil or Oil of Choice

3/4 cup - Water

1/8 tbsp - Baking Powder
